LOUISE BUZZA
With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Louise Buzza on May 9, 2026 at the age of 98.
Born to John and Barbara Stogan and raised in St. Vital, Louise was the eldest of five sisters. She is survived by her son Tim; daughter Tannis (Ron); granddaughter Nicole; sister Pat (Ab, deceased); and brother-in-law Jock; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Roy; sisters, Mary (Art, deceased), Anna (Jack, deceased) and Barbara (Jock).
Louise graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate in 1945, married husband Roy in 1948 and gave birth to son Tim the following year. Left Regal Avenue in 1959 with the family moving to the new town of Thompson. Daughter Tannis was born in 1964. Louise enjoyed curling, contract bridge, golf and their cabin at Setting Lake. Moved back to Winnipeg in 1985 after Roy’s retirement and spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona.
In 2011 she moved into Concordia Village following Roy’s passing, where the fantastic staff and home care allowed her to to live independently. Although experiencing increasing hearing loss through the years which sometimes made conversations difficult, she was gifted an iPad at age 85 that allowed her to keep in touch with her extended family and friends. Ever a delightful person to be around, she was always interested in what was new with you. Louise enjoyed the company of others and loved to laugh.
Cremation has taken place and as per Louise’s wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
